Your Mindset

Today we are mid week.  Reaching mid week can sometimes leave us feeling drained, weary and possibly negative.  Life in general can bring us feelings of negativity.  I was thinking about attitudes and how and why we can sometimes arrive in states of doubt, negativity and an ongoing vinegary attitude.

Personally I can get caught in moments of negativity and grumbling.  What about you? Being aware of where I can land, makes me strive to positively navigate my moods and thoughts.  Constant negativity will cause us to feel ungrateful and bearish. Our attitudes and actions will effect our day to day life and spill over effecting our families, friends and those we work with.

Our success (or lack of) can be effected by the environment we create through our thoughts, attitudes and moods. Have you found yourself feeling negative and moody? Do you think your attitude is apparent to others even when you don’t realize?

I try to remind myself… breathe and resetWhen we reset our thoughts, our mood and actions change and can bring us to a state of calm.  In a state of calm, stressful situations are easier to cope with, people around us respond better and we can find ourselves more successfully navigating our day.

A friend of mine recently lost a life long friend and was sharing stories and pictures of her.  I too reflected on this lovely woman remembering she was truly a bright light in the lives of her family and friends.  I didn’t know her well however, I knew her well enough to have experienced her incredibly positive outlook.  She was always smiling, laughing and she continually exuded great joy.  Her demeanour was energetic, excited and caring.  She made a brighter place for all those around her.  I am reminded that a positive attitude brings happiness and joy to all those around us and can have positive effects longer than we can imagine.

Our minds are powerful and we can direct our great thoughts and actions in most positive and rewarding ways.

Romans 12:2

“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world,  but be transformed by the renewing of your mind”

May this scripture encourage you to renew your mind each morning when your feet hit the floor to help you create a more fulfilling and positive life.

God Bless,
