The Lord’s Prayer…

This morning in our prayer group it was suggested we end our prayer time with the Lord’s Prayer. Today I share it with you in hopes that you will pray in earnest, remembering those who are in need of prayer. Please continue praying for our world and all those in it.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom, The Power, and the Glory, forever and ever,

Amen

“Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven”. I wondered what exactly these words meant. I understand it to mean that God asks us to live in peace and to love one another. This is the way it is in heaven, peace and love. Love always gives us strength, fills our heart and always heals.

“Give us our daily bread”. What do you think this means? I think we are to be reminded that God has the power to provide everything we need. There is much to be explored from the Lord’s Prayer. Much to lead us in our daily walk by and encouragement to trust in.

Let us continue to pray for each other, for those in need and for our world, especially for Ukraine.
