Hope…

Things in Ontario seem somewhat overwhelming with the rising cases of COVID in this third wave. I myself have been tired and emotionally exhausted. Missing my family and friends, going to the office, chatting with people and just being able to be “free” (whatever free means to us).

Then in talking to a friend she shared the joy we have daily and the great many things we have to look forward to. There is always hope. God promises;

* He will be with us

* He will protect us

* He will be our strength

* He will answer us

* He will provide for us

* He will give us peace

* He will always love us.

In times of troubles and concerns instead of reaching inward, if we focus on God and His promises we will find peace and hope. Why is it that I wandered away from focusing on Him? I know these things to be true yet I focused inward on how I was feeling, not what I have to look forward to and to be grateful for.

Like the detour sign we can take the journey to the left and find a change in our thoughts and attitude. Turn your eyes to the good, like the sudden budding of flowers (especially the early daffodils), the green grass in promises of much warmer weather, the blue skies that brighten our day. That journey has us looking at brighter and beautiful days.

There is much in our futures with many more blessings than troubles. Please take this scripture with you this week and may you find the hope and peace you seek.

Romans 15:13, NIV:

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."

God Bless,
