Anticipation and Change

Anticipation and Change

Fall, an anticipated season that typically brings change in activities, eating and living.

Our children head back to school with excitement to connect with those friends they may not have seen over the summer.  We look forward to hearty soups, homemade bread, apple picking, and reaping the last of farm harvests.  We begin thoughts of preparation for Christmas.

Fall brings change in our weather as temperatures cool down and the sun brings less daily light.  Mornings can be difficult and evenings can bring tired bodies and minds home after a long day. We can begin to have feelings of being down or even depressed as we embark into winter in Canada.

This week in our prayer time we thought about this scripture to mediate on this week as we navigate COVID and changes in the season.  Praying and meditating on God’s word will help us navigate through changes and daily life.

Psalm 63:6-8  - “If I'm sleepless at midnight, I spend the hours in grateful reflection.  Because you've always stood up for me, I'm free to run and play.  I hold on to you for dear life, and you hold me steady as a post. “
