Who are we…
So you have browsed our web site. Saw some pictures and got an idea of those behind the scenes of Hopedale Presbyterian Church. But… who are we really?
At first when you drive into our parking lot you will see an established church in Oakville sitting back on a beautiful patch of green grass; hosting a beautiful cross all surrounded by very old and beautiful trees. At first you see a building. What you don’t immediately get to see is the people inside that building. You don’t yet get to see the hearts of the people in our building. We are a church of welcoming humble people.
Until Covid restrictions ease and our church building doors fully open you will have to rely on reading about us, listening to Worship Sermons, click on our pages for Children’s Church School, Children’s time and much more. So, we want to take a moment to give you a bigger glimpse of us…the heart of the church of Hopedale Presbyterian.
Hopedale is host for a congregation of wonderful people of all ages. Truly wonderful. Our passion is to reach out to those in our community. To support each other, to welcome each one of you exactly where you are in your faith walk. Maybe you have never had relationship within a church congregation. Maybe you don’t know about God. Maybe you know God but have fallen away from your faith. Wherever you are in your journey we are an inviting church and we want to get to know you.

Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God.
Are you a woman who wants to reach out to other women in a community setting. A mother who might be seeking a place to bring your children to so they can also be a part of a loving community. We have mothers waiting to meet you. We have elderly and younger people who are waiting to welcome you. Maybe you are looking for a place to share your talents. We welcome all youth to join us to connect with other youth. We are always open to new activities, new learning and great friendships. Maybe you are a family looking to connect with other families.
We are a praying church. We meet together (via Zoom) a few times a week to pray for our church and community. We reach out within our prayer team to share new and urgent prayer requests daily. We believe in prayer. God continually provides answers to our prayers.
