Is Worship a priority…

Luke 4:16-17

16 He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read, 17 and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him.

One verse of this passage and reading in my study notes delivered a strong message to me.

My Bible study foot notes:   “Jesus went to the synagogue, as was his custom”.  Even though he was the perfect Son of God, and his local synagogue undoubtedly left much to be desired, Jesus attended services every week.  HIs example makes our excuses for not attending church sound weak and self-serving”.

In these times of COVID it can be difficult to attend our churches for worship. However with technology so easy, we can attend any day or time of the week to hear the message.

I fell behind on the Worship video’s and have been catching up.  Often when I have missed a church service (or struggled getting to church before COVID) but mange to get there,  the message I receive is exactly what I needed to hear that day.

What about you?  How has the journey been the past few months?   Have you made regular worship a priority in part your life? If not, what are your plans to make changes?
